Minutes of the 21st Biennial General Meeting

  1. Minutes of the 20th Biennial General Meeting were received and adopted. There was no comment. It was proposed by Prof. Ngan and seconded by Prof. T. Lao

  2. The Honorary Secretary's Report was received and adopted. It was proposed by Dr. L.C.H. Tang and seconded by Dr. C.L. Law

  3. The Honorary Treasurer's Report was received and adopted. It was proposed by Dr. Joseph Chan and seconded by Dr. C. Leung

  4. The President, Dr. Dominic Li, thanked all the members for their support in the activity of the Society during the last two years. It was a fruitful term for the Council. There were 23 scientific meetings held, almost once a month. These meetings enabled both scientific exchange social gathering and CME activity. The OGSHK has a synbiotic relation with the HKCOG which has a slightly different role. Although we lost our bid for the 2006 FIGO meeting, it was the largest delegation from Hong Kong so far. The team spirit and medical fraternity were well demonstrated. The Journal of Gynaecology, Obstetrics and Midwifery was finally born after the hard work of the editorial committee headed by Dr. L.C.H. Tang. This journal will still rely heavily on the continuous support from our members and sponsors. Special thanks to Dr. Joseph Woo who managed the website of the Society.

  5. There was only one candidate nominated for each of the posts of the Council, so they were elected ipso facto.

  1. Yang, Yu, Yuen and Co was appointed as the Honorary Legal Advisor for 2001 to 2003.

  2. Yeung and Co was appointed as the Honorary Auditor for 2001 to 2003.

  3. The meeting was adjourned at 7:30 pm.
