Objective / Background of its Formation :

To promote interest in and better understanding of medical laboratory sciences in Hong Kong
To provide a venue for discussion of problems in the different disciplines of the profession.
To ensure that holders of the Institute of Medical Laboratory Sciences qualifications are adequately represented in any discussion relating to salary, grading, training, and government registration of medical laboratory workers in Hong Kong.
To organise social functions for its members.

Membership Requirement :

Associate Memberships are usually granted to those holding degrees in Medical Laboratory Sciences or Biomedical Science with acceptable working experiences.
