Editorial
(Vol.7 No.6 --- August 2002)

There are two purposes for the Federation to produce the Hong Kong Medical Diary (HKMD):

  1. To provide an effective monthly channel for the health care professions to exchange information;
  2. To give concise and accurate review on some medical topics that are of main interest.

This issue of the HKMD contains papers on two important topics, one on the male (carcinoma of prostate) and one on the female (hormonal replacement therapy). I hope you will enjoy reading them.

The Hong Kong Medical Association is one of our two founder member societies. As the Editor-In-Chief of the HKMD (and a ten year Sport Captain and also a veteran of the HKMA Council), I would like to take this chance to congratulate those who have been elected recently to serve in the HKMA Council.
