New College Chamber for Hong Kong College of Paediatricians
On 1 February 2005, our College has moved to a new Chamber in Room 801 of the Academy Building. It can provide more office and storage space for our increasing daily operation. We have also recruited a new Assistant Secretary Ms Chan Wai Lin Jenny to help in our secretariat. The fax number and email address will remain the same as before. Meeting the President of RCPCH and Signing Ceremony of Memorandum of Understanding

Professor Sir Alan Craft , President of Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health, will visit Hong Kong from 27 February to 1 March 2005. He will be an examiner of the joint MRCPCH Examination and Intermediate Examination of Hong Kong College of Paediatricians. On Monday, 28 February 2005 there will be a ceremony of the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding of collaboration between the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health and Hong Kong College of Paediatricians. You are cordially invited to join the ceremony and to meet the President of the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health. The arrangements for the evening will be as follows:

FMSHK 40th Anniversary Art Exhibition 20-25 May 2005
The Federation of Medical Societies of Hong Kong (FMSHK) 40th Anniversary Art Exhibition will be held on 20-25 May 2005 at Exhibition Gallery, Hong Kong Cultural Centre, Tsimshatsui. This Exhibition will be featuring art works by our members of the member societies. In order to make it a meaningful and memorable event, members of the College are encouraged to submit their art works for the Exhibition. The Exhibition includes the following art work: Calligraphy, Chinese paintings, Photography, Sculptures and Model-making, Seal Engraving, Western Paintings and Multimedia creation and digitalised images.

Update Information on Trip to Kunming, Yunnan, China
24-29 March 2005

The purpose of the visit to Kunming, Yunnan, China organized by HKCPF is to lay down the ground work for future medical missions to China. The Liaison Office of the Central PeopleíŽs Government in the Hong Kong SAR has kindly arranged to accompany our tour when we shall meet with the officials of the Ministry of Health, tour local hospitals and a nearby village. Prof. Fok Tai Fai, Prof. Leung Nai Kong and Dr. Alfred Tam and other participants will give lectures during the medical exchange seminar (CME points pending).

After the first 3 days of official visits, the next three days will be local sightseeing. Spouses are welcomed to join in as there will be separate tours for the spouses during the official visits.

Thanks to the efforts of Dr. Ko Wai Keung and Prof. Leung Nai Kong, HKCPF have recently finalized the itinerary to Kunming which now includes new scenic spots for the benefit of those who have previously visited Kunming. This does not affect our medical exchange (itinerary attached in Appendix I). The price of the tour for College Fellows will be HK$5,330 per person; for Family Members will be HK$5,480 per person and for children under 12 will be HK$4,027 per person.

Fuel Adjustment Cost: $154
Return Airport Tax: $90
Tips per person/day@HK$60: $360

Please note that there will be an extra charge of HK$150 for family Members since their itinerary will be a bit more extensive.
