Abstract
Atypical pneumonia is inflammation of the lungs caused by bacteria or viruses, with the exception of the recently emerged severe acute respiratory syndrome (SARS), symptoms are usually milder than typical pneumonia. People with chronic illnesses and weakened immune systems, elderly individuals, smokers are at high risk of suffering from atypical pneumonia.
